    Wow somebody else in Singapore having an Inc with belt drive! Where did you buy it? I need some service of the hub (I have the 8 gear version), do you know of any shop I can get it serviced?

      I got it from Bike Plus! But I think they have closed. I have also sold the bike. You can check with Coast Cycles as they deal with belt drive bikes too.

      I called around and Treknology said they would do it. Starting at $35 for service, plus all parts etc. I have not had time to do it yet...
      Please let us know how it goes? :)

    Brilliant blog! Any idea what sort of oil needs to go into the hub drive? The is no mention of it in the Avanti owners manual.

      Check out the Alfine 11 manual, it is a special oil for this internal hub.
